Journey across Karnataka & explore the heritage towns of Hampi Badami, Pattadkal, Ahihole that feature the rustic yet magnificent ruins of ancient civilizations.

Hampi , a village and a temple town in Karnataka is one of the most historically rich places. Listed under the UNESCO World Heritage Site as the Group of monuments at Hampi, this city was also at one point one of the richest cities in the world when it was in its peak. Located inside the Vijayanagara city, Hampi has been one of the most significant tourist places of attraction.

Badami is truly famous for its Cave Temples that date back to the 6th and 7th centuries. Located at Badami in Bagalkot district of Karnataka, Cave Temples represent the fine architectural style of the ancient times.

Itinerary

Day 0 : Pune – Badami

Leaving from Pune – 9.30 pm 

Day 1: Arrive at Badami. 6.30 am

Badami – formerly known as Vatapi, it was the regal capital of Badami Chalukyas.
We Visit Banashankari Temple, Badami Caves Complex, Badami Fort, Museum, Mahakuteshwara Temple in Mahakoot
Overnight in Badami.

Day 2: Morning proceed to Hospet – via Patadakallu & Aihole

– Patadakallu to witness the impressive series of temples including the masterpiece ‘The Temple of Virupaksha’ built by Queen Lokamahadevi to commemorate her husband’s victory.
– then proceed to Aihole to explore various temple remains. It is a tranquil village situated on the Malaprabha river’s banks and referred to as the ‘cradle of Hindu / Dravidian temple architecture’.
Overnight in Hospet.

Day 3 Post breakfast, we explore Hampi

Classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, it is also the “World’s Largest Open-air Museum” – Hampi sightseeing – Lotus Mahal, Elephant Stables, Hazara Rama Temple, Palace Area, Queen’s Bath”, Kamlapur Museum, Coracle Ride in Tungbhadra River, Reach Sunset point Hemakuta
overnight stay in Hampi.

Day 4 Visit Shri Malyavanta Raghunatha Temple for Sunrise

Breakfast, Hampi sightseeing – Lakshmi Narasimha, Badavi Linga, Vijaya VittalaTemple (Stone Chariot)
After lunch Return journey starts from Hampi to Pune with Happy Memories.
