Trek to Jungli Vasota - Nageshwar Cave (optional) & Camping

Overview

VASOTA FORT:

Vasota fort is situated on the banks of the Shivsagar dam. Indavali is the base village of Vasota. From here the forest path leads us to the top of Vasota. It takes two hours to reach the top. It is a easy climb through dense forest. It is an ideal trek in winter and summer. The view from top is breath-taking. The fort is covered by a thick reserved forest. On the east side are the backwaters of Shivsagar dam. After that one can see the mountain range of Kas Mahabaleshwar.

Itinerary

Day 1:

Leave towards Bamnoli. 09.05 p.m.
Reach Base Village at 01.00 am.
Riverside camping (Tents will be provided on shared Basis).

Day 1:

5.30 am Early morning wake up & Breakfast.
Get ready by 6.30 am.
Start journey to Vasota base (1.30 hrs boating).
Alight at met Indvali.
Get permission from the forest dept.
thick jungle TREK TO reach Vasota top.
Pack lunch.
Explore, sightseeing, photography, information, history.
Return To Met Indavali.
Reach base village.
Return To Pune 11 pm (+ – 2hr) (Enroute Dinner).

Things to carry

Identity Proof (Must).
⁠A bottle of water.
⁠Towel, Napkin, Extra Pair of clothes (Prefer wearing proper fitting clothes with shorts of quick-drying material).
Footwear (preferably floaters while rafting).
Camera (Optional) (Only if waterproof).
⁠Cap, Sunscreen Lotion, etc.
Some ready-to-eat food. Plum cakes, Biscuits etc. (While Travelling).
Medicine & Personal care those which you usually require. (Optional).
Please avoid wearing Gold and other ornaments.

All our photos, and walks are Eco-friendly, kindly take care of nature around us.
Respect the heritage and culture. Do not litter, participants are requested to carry the waste back to the city and dispose it off in dustbins.
