Itinerary
Day-1-Arrive Cochin – Guruvayur
Welcome to Cochin Airport. We kickstart the journey by road to Guruvayur. On arrival we check-in to the hotel and rest for a while. This city, according to the legends may be 5,000 years old as the Guruvayur temple idol is. We visit the ancient Lord Shree Krishna temple and seek blessings. Overnight stay at Guruvayur.
Day-2-Guruvayur – Kaladi – Cochin
Today, we proceed to Kaladi village. It is notable as the birthplace of 8th century Indian philosopher and theologian Adi Shankaracharya and is a popular destination for Hindu pilgrims. Later we travel to Cochin and visit Mattancherry Island, St Francis Church and Dutch Palace. Overnight Stay in Cochin.
Day-3-Cochin – Kumarakom – Trivandrum
The morning sees us venture towards the capital city of Kerala – Trivandrum (also known as TIruvanathpuram). En-route we visit Kumarakom beach. Spend wonderful evening at Kovalam beach. Mesmerizing Sunset view from here is what our eyes will strive forever. Overnight Stay at Trivandrum.
Day-4-Trivandrum – Kanyakumari – Trivandrum
Hit the highway to the southernmost tip of India – Kanyakumari. Here we visit Swami Vivekanand Rock Memorial sailing by a ferry. The Meditation Hall and the Smarak, Kanyakumari Mandir, Tri Samudra Milan (Triveni Sangam), Gandhi Mandapam and Kanyakumari Wax Museum are major attractions. The day ends with
a peaceful drive to Trivandrum. Overnight Stay at Trivandrum.
Day-5-Trivandrum – Alleppey (Alappuzha)
Today we tread to the backwaters of Arabian Sea – Alleppey. On the way we visit the temple of Shree Padmanabhan Swami – the wealthiest Hindu Temple in the world. Later we resume towards Alleppey. Post lunch, buckle up for an exhilarating Backwater Boat ride in Vembnad Lake (approx. 1hour). Evening is free at
leisure to explore the city and do shopping. Overnight stay at Alleppey.
Day-6-Alleppey (Alappuzha) – Periyar (Thekkady)
The day starts with a road trip to Thekkady. Here we explore the city full of spice gardens, farms and spice plantations. Enjoy the evening to delve into this fascinating city. Today we have a special Kathakali Folk Dance performed by local artists. Later one can relax and get pampered by a Kerala Ayurvedic Massage (at own expense). Overnight stay at Periyar.
Day-7-Periyar (Thekkady) – Munnar
Enjoy a natural, scenic sojourn through the hills and valleys to Munnar. We tread a full day expedition at the Eravikulam National Park (also known as Rajmala) which is best place to see Nilgiri Tahr – the Mountain Goat of South India. Overnight stay at Munnar.
Day-8-Munnar City Tour
Today we continue our compelling discovery of Munnar. Sprawling tea plantations, picturesque towns and winding lanes make this a popular summer resort town. We explore the Botanical garden, Tea Museum, Chocolate Factory, etc. Overnight at Munnar.
Day-9-Munnar – Cochin – Departure – Hometown
The day starts by heading back to Cochin Airport. Our epic journey through the sacred lands of Kerala has come to an end.
